After conversion dell 3542 display come but 6 time beep. Many type RND but Problem not solve last option cut the sound ic pin no. 12(Aud_PC_Beep) my problem solve.

good job. but i think it will not say any other error messages also through beeps. did you try UMA bios on it ?

I done the same way to solve on N5040 Laptop. it is giving 5 beeps. I replaced the battery and checked everything nearby to Battery and IO chip also. Finally i decide to do it on your way Great its working fine.
