Intel DG31PR Case3

Post by anshad »

Problem = no display

Vcore voltage was missing but all other voltages are okay. Checked Vcore ic NCP5387 voltages. IC pin no 1 is enable input which should be 1.2 volt. However it was showing zero volt due to an open input resistor. Before replacing the resistor i checked the output side of the resistor and found a ceramic bypass capacitor as leaky. The leaky capacitor was the real reason for the resistor to became open. Replaced both components. Vcore came and display came.
