Lenovo B560 CAse study (plate Wistron LA56)

Laptop power on no display condition

On intial Check ....found out

5 v dropping to 4.6V
3.3v dropping to 2.6V

and Regualtor (BD95280) heating up lightly..

tried to find schematic for the same ......but unavailable ....

after an hour of tracing ....found c466 (near U37 ic) showing 2 ohms resistance ...

still short in track after removal .....then replaced U37 (SMSC 2103)

problem solved ....

set multimeter in buzzz point... read value if 000/001/002/003 short com....
